The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Saturday 7th of September 2013 defeated the Flames of Malawi 2-0 at the U J Eseuene stadium in Calabar , Cross River state, goals from Emmanuel Emenike  and Victor Moses.  to qualify for final round of CAF qualification for  World Cup 2014

Super Eagles in camp for Malawi game

 
 
 






The Super Eagles camp at the Transcorp Metropolitan Hotel in calabar with  most of the star players already in camp, which include the likes of Enyeama, Mikel, Moses.

Super Eagles head coach Stephen Keshi said he is happy with the turn out of the players, and hope for a good result against Malawi on Saturday.

Peter Odemwingie moves to Cardiff City




Nigeria striker Peter Odemwingie has joined Cardiff City from West Bromwich Albion for a transfer fee of £2.25 million for a two years deal .
The striker who is 32 years old is happy with his new club,Cardiff City which is  newly promoted to the English Premier League


Nigeria striker Uche Nwofor joins Heerenveen on loan



Uche Nwofor has joined Dutch side SC Heerenveen on a year season loan from VVV Venlo. He reject a lot of offers from Russia and Turkey club sides.
The 21 years old who scored both Nigeria Super Eagles goal against South Africa 2.0 in a friendly match two weeks ago in South Africa.
He says he is delighted to continue playing in Holland and also working under Holland football legend Marco Van Basten .


Victor Moses signs for Liverpool








Nigeria forward Victor Moses have signed to Liverpool from Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season.
Moses who join Chelsea from Wigan for £9 million last August , but under new manager Jose Mourinho Victor Moses is yet to start a game, he is delighted to have moved on loan to a big club like Liverpool.

John Mikel Obi out of South Africa friendly








John Mikel Obi has withdrawn from the Nigeria squad that will face South Africa today in the Mandela Challenge friendly in Durban.
 
The Nigeria and Chelsea player is suffering form a stomach bug and his club doctors wrote to the Nigeria Football federation asking for the player to be excused, but his Chelsea team mate is included in the nigeria team to South Africa in Durban
 
Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has accepted his request.

Man Utd lift Community Shield





Robin van Persie took just six minute to score the opening goal with a powerful header from a perfect clipped cross from Patrice Evra , to make sure David Moyes era at Manchester United began with a trophy as Wigan were beaten in the FA Community Shield at Wembley.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang became only the sixth player to score a hat-trick on his Bundesliga debut as Borussia Dortmund opened their campaign with a 4-0 victory at Augsburg.

The £11m summer signing opened the scoring in the first half and added two more in the second before Robert Lewandowski completed the win


Gabon international Aubameyang, signed from French side Saint-Etienne, formed an impressive strike partnership with Lewandowski - to the delight of manager Jurgen Klopp.

Emmanuel Emenike Rule out of South Africa Friendly

   Nigeria striker Emmanuel Emenike and defender  Kenneth Omeruo have been ruled out of the Super Eagles' friendly tie against South Africa on 14 August.
 
The 26-year-old Nigeria international remains in Turkey after  re-signing for his old club Turkish club Fenerbahce from Spartak Moscow for a sign on fee of $17.4m US dollar ,after two seasons with the Russian league leaders.

Emenike has  requested to be allowed to settle well at his new club while Omeruo who injured his shoulder at the confederations cup , was rule out due to injury and ask to stay back in his club Chelsea to recover
