Keshi annoyed by criticism

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has slammed critics for being quick to condemn his team.

Keshi was especially critical of comments credited to some ex-internationals who he believes should know better, having played the game at the highest level themselves.

He, however, assured that he will not relent at ensuring that he gets the team in the right mood for the championship, but said the players are gradually finding their feet.

"The annoying thing is that they get criticised unnecessarily back home," Keshi said at a press conference following Nigeria's 1-0 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina at the World Cup.

"When that comes from the man on the street you can understand but when people who should know like ex-footballers criticise the team, I don’t enjoy it at all.

"But the players have showed that they are good enough for the World Cup but they are yet to play to full potential."
