Guardiola unhappy with empty CSKA stadium

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola says he is not happy that his team will play Champions League opponents CSKA Moscow behind closed doors.

The Russian champions were punished by governing body Uefa after racist chanting by their fans last season.

"I've never experienced it and I hope it's the last time," said Guardiola of playing in a virtually empty stadium.

"We will have to adapt to the situation, but it's a little strange all the same."

CSKA were sanctioned after the behaviour of their fans during group stage matches against Manchester City and Czech club Viktoria Plzen last season.

"Football is a question of atmosphere and emotion," said Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

"But there will only be a handful of officials and journalists. I feel sorry for the fans, some of whom haven't missed a single Bayern away match in 25 years."

CSKA also expect further punishment from Uefa after their supporters caused violence before their 5-1 Group E defeat at Roma on 17 September.
